By the end of this guide you'll know how to create a report for a holding, find any report you own from the cross-holding Reports dashboard, and open a report to preview and download it.

Running reports is a GP task. You need access to your firm's workspace and to the holding the report covers. Each report belongs to one holding, so you select that holding when you create the report. If Reports or a holding isn't available to you, ask a workspace admin to grant you access.
How reports are organized
Every report belongs to exactly one holding, and can optionally be scoped to a single share class of that holding. You can reach a report two ways: from the cross-holding Reports dashboard in the main menu, which lists every report your firm owns, or from a holding's own Reports tab, which shows just that holding's reports. Both routes open the same report. A report's holding can't be changed after the report is created, so pick the right holding up front.
Create a report
- Open Reports from the main menu.
- Select New report.
- In the creation form, use the holding picker to choose the holding the report covers.
- Optionally scope the report to a single share class of that holding.
- Fill in the rest of the report and submit the form.
After you submit, Covercy One takes you straight to the new report's detail page under its holding, where you can keep working on it.
