By the end of this guide you'll know how to use Neo to take action in Covercy One — creating or updating contacts and entities, assigning and scheduling tasks, and drafting emails — entirely through natural language, with your explicit approval before anything is saved.
Note
Neo never saves a change automatically. For every action that modifies data, Neo presents a confirmation card first. The change is only applied after you click Confirm.
Create or update a contact
- Open the Neo chat panel by clicking Ask AI in the top navigation, or press Ctrl+/ (Windows) or Cmd+/ (Mac).
- Type your request in plain language — for example, "Create a contact for Jane Lee, email jane@example.com" or "Update John Smith's phone to 555-1234".
- Neo searches your contacts and returns a confirmation card showing the details to be created or the proposed changes. Review the card carefully.
- Click Confirm to apply the change. The contact is created or updated using your existing contact data, and Neo confirms success with a link to the record.
- If your message matches multiple contacts — for example, "Update John's phone" when you have several Johns — Neo asks you to select which contact before showing the confirmation card. Select the correct one, then confirm.
Tip
Being specific helps Neo find the right record on the first try. Include a last name, email address, or company name when your firm has contacts with similar names.
