By the end of this guide you'll have two-factor authentication set up on your Covercy investor portal, so that when you take a sensitive action Covercy asks you to confirm a one-time verification code in addition to signing in.
Note
Before you start, make sure you're signed in to your investor portal and have your mobile phone nearby. You'll need a phone number that can receive a verification code so Covercy can reach you.
Covercy will never ask you to share your password, two-factor codes, or banking credentials by email, text, or phone. If a message asks you to do this, don't respond — open Covercy yourself and continue from there rather than following a link in an unexpected message.
Add your phone number
- When Covercy prompts you to set up two-factor authentication, or from your account two-factor settings, choose to add a phone number.
- Select your country, then enter the mobile number where you'd like to receive verification codes.
- Save your phone number. Covercy uses it only to send you verification codes.
Tip
Choose a phone you have reliable access to, since you'll need it to confirm sensitive actions. You can update this number later from your account two-factor settings.
Confirm a verification code
- When a verification is needed, Covercy shows a dialog with your phone number partly hidden and asks for a verification code.
