View your investor reports

Find the reports your fund manager publishes in your Covercy investor portal, read your capital account statement and its breakdown, and download a personalized PDF.

By the end of this guide you'll know where to find the reports your fund manager publishes in your Covercy investor portal, how to read a report and your capital account statement inside it, and how to download your own copy as a PDF.

Note

Viewing reports is an investor (LP) task. You need to be signed in to your Covercy investor portal and hold a position in the holding the report covers. Reports are read-only: your fund manager writes and publishes them, and you only see a report once it's published.

Find your reports

  1. Sign in to your Covercy investor portal.
  2. Open Reports from the sidebar to see every published report across your holdings. The table shows the Holding, the Report title, the Period and when it was last Updated, with the most recent period first.
  3. To see the reports for one investment only, open the holding and select its Reports tab. The same table appears without the Holding column.
  4. Select a report to open it.

Periods read the way your manager reports them — for example Q1 2026, H2 2025, FY 2025, or a date range for a custom period. A report written for one share class appears only if you hold a position in that share class.

Tip

Your fund manager may email you when a new report is available. To read it, you can always sign in to your investor portal directly and open Reports rather than following a link in an unexpected message.

Read a report

A report opens as a document on the page, read from top to bottom:

  • Masthead — your fund manager's logo and name, the report title, the holding and the period the report covers.
  • Narrative — the sections your manager wrote for the period, such as updates and commentary.
  • Your capital account statement — your own statement, when your manager included one (see below).
  • Attachments — any supporting files, listed by filename at the end of the document. Select the view button next to a file to open it.

On a phone, the same document shows in a single column: masthead, narrative, statement, then attachments.

Read your capital account statement

When your manager includes it, the Your capital account statement section appears below the narrative. It shows only your own figures — never another investor's.

  • Whose account it is — the line beneath the heading names the investing entity the statement covers. If you invest through more than one investing entity in the holding, that line is a picker: choose an entity to see its statement.
  • One statement per investing entity — if an entity holds several positions in the holding, including positions in different share classes or closed positions, one statement covers all of them.
  • NAV Reconciliation — the movement from your opening to your closing net asset value: contributions, distributions, any fees and expenses, and the change in value. Distributions are shown as reductions, so each column reads downward to its closing figure. The closing line is labelled Ending NAV – Gross of Accrued/Earned/Paid Carried Interest.
  • Commitment Reconciliation — how your commitment has been called so far.
  • Three columns — quarter-to-date, year-to-date and inception-to-date, each showing the date range it covers. All three end on the report's period end, so the closing value is the same in every column.
  • Grouped lines — some lines are grouped under a header that shows the group's total. Expand a group to see each line in it.

Note

The columns are always quarter-to-date, year-to-date and inception-to-date, whatever the report's period. A half-year report, for example, shows the closing quarter, the full year and inception to date, without a separate half-year column. The masthead and narrative tell you which period the report itself covers.

Beneath each statement, a note reads Figures generated on a date for the period ending the report's period end. Your statement is worked out fresh from your manager's records each time you open it, so if a record for the period is corrected later, the next time you open the report you'll see the updated figures and a new date.

If a valuation is missing for part of your investment, figures that depend on it show N/A with a note explaining that the valuation is incomplete — Covercy doesn't show a zero in place of a figure it can't determine. A figure that is genuinely zero, for example for a date before you invested, shows as zero.

Use the breakdown by share class and position

Below the statement, a supplemental breakdown shows how your statement is made up. It lists the share classes your investing entity holds, and within each class, your individual positions.

  • Expand a share class to see the positions in it.
  • Each position row says whether it's open or closed — a closed position shows why and when it closed — and whether you acquired it by an ownership transfer, so a row showing zero is easy to explain.
  • The breakdown has no total row. Your entity's totals are the figures in the statement above it.

Download the report as a PDF

  1. Open the report.
  2. If you invest through more than one investing entity in the holding, choose the entity in the statement first.
  3. Select Download PDF. Your personalized copy is generated and downloads.
  • The PDF contains the same masthead and narrative as the page, followed by your capital account statement when the report includes one. Every grouped line is printed in full.
  • Attachments can't be included in a PDF, so the PDF ends with a list of their filenames and a note that the files are available in your investor portal.
  • The file name identifies the investing entity, so PDFs you download for different entities are easy to tell apart.
  • Statement labels appear in the language you've selected in your portal.

When no statement appears

A report can be narrative-only. You won't see a capital account statement section, in the page or in the PDF, when:

  • Your fund manager didn't include the statement in this report.
  • The holding is an evergreen (open-ended) holding — capital account statements don't apply to it.
  • Your closing value for the period can't be determined yet, for example because a valuation is missing. Rather than show an incomplete statement, Covercy leaves it out until your manager completes the records.

Verify and get help

You're set when you can open a report from Reports or a holding's Reports tab, read it on the page, and download a PDF that matches what you see. If you expected a report that isn't listed, a statement is missing, or a figure doesn't match your records, contact your fund manager — they publish the reports and maintain the records the statement is built from. If the page says no reports are available, your manager hasn't published one for your holdings yet.

Why don't I see any reports?
Reports appear only once your fund manager publishes them, and only for holdings where you have a position. A report written for one share class appears only if you hold that share class. Until then, the page shows that no reports are available.
A report I could open before has disappeared. Why?
Your fund manager can withdraw a published report. When they do, the report and its statement are no longer available to you; if they publish it again, it comes back. Contact your manager if you need a copy.
Why is there no capital account statement in my report?
Your manager may not have included it, the holding may be evergreen (open-ended), where statements don't apply, or your closing value for the period can't be determined yet because a valuation is missing. Contact your fund manager if you expected one.
I invest through two entities. How do I see each statement?
Use the picker beneath the statement heading to choose the investing entity. The statement updates for that entity. To download each one, choose the entity and select Download PDF; each file is named for its entity.
Why is there no column for my report's own period?
The statement always shows quarter-to-date, year-to-date and inception-to-date columns, each labelled with the dates it covers. The masthead and narrative identify the report's own period.
Why do some figures show N/A?
N/A means a valuation is missing for part of your investment, so a figure that depends on it can't be calculated. A note on the statement explains this. Covercy never shows a zero in place of a missing value.
Why did my figures change since I last opened the report?
Your statement is worked out from your manager's records each time you open it. If a record for the period was corrected, you'll see the updated figures, and the Figures generated on date changes to show when they were calculated.
Why doesn't the breakdown add up to a total?
The breakdown has no total row by design. It explains how your statement is made up; your entity's totals are the figures in the statement above it.
Are attachments included in the PDF?
No. The PDF lists each attachment's filename and notes that the files are available in your investor portal. Open the report in the portal to view them.
