Publish your deals on your public Opportunities page

Share one public link that lists your published fundraises, choose which deals appear on it, set its hero image and optional lead gate, and see what visitors and link previews show.

By the end of this guide you'll have a public Opportunities page for your firm. It's one link that lists the fundraises you choose to publish, branded with your logo and colors, and you can send it to prospective investors or put it on your website.

Note

You need at least one active fundraise to publish. Editing the page's hero image requires permission to edit branding, and setting the lead gate requires the GP Admin role. If a control is read-only for you, ask a workspace admin. Your logo and brand colors come from your branding settings. See Set up your firm and workspace.

How the page works

Your Opportunities page is public. Anyone with the link can open it without logging in or being invited, and an investor who is already signed in to the portal sees the same public page. It lists only fundraises that belong to your firm, that you've published, and that are active. Each fundraise appears as a card, and selecting a card opens that fundraise's public landing page.

Publishing is separate from portal visibility. A fundraise can be Invited Only in your investor portal and still be listed on your public page, or the other way round. Changing one setting never changes the other.

  1. Open Settings and go to Branding.
  2. Find the section headed with your Opportunities page. It holds the page URL, the storefront hero image and the lead-gate control. These are kept apart from the investor sign-in experience settings.
  3. Use the copy action next to the page URL to copy your link.

Tip

Your page link stays the same over time, so you can put it on your website, in your email signature or in a newsletter once and leave it there. The visibility panel on each fundraise also shows the same URL.

Publish a fundraise to the page

A new fundraise starts unpublished. To list it on your Opportunities page:

  1. Open the fundraise and go to its Opportunity Page.
  2. In the visibility panel, find the website publishing section. It shows your Opportunities page URL and reminds you that anyone can view a published opportunity without logging in.
  3. Select the publishing checkbox.
  4. If the fundraise has more than one share class, choose the share class whose landing page the card should open. If you don't choose one, the card opens the fundraise's first share class.
  5. Save the panel.

The visibility panel has three separate sections: portal listing (who can find the fundraise in your investor portal), website publishing (whether it's listed on your public page), and the direct landing link with its own copy action. The direct link is always available, whatever you choose in the other two sections.

Warning

Unpublishing removes the fundraise from your Opportunities page, but links to it that were already shared keep working. Covercy One warns you about this when you clear the checkbox. Unpublishing takes the fundraise off the list. It doesn't revoke access.

Choose what each card shows

Each card shows the holding's cover photo, a line with the holding's location and asset type, whether it's a fund or a single asset, the fundraise's name, and a status of available or closed. You control the rest from the fundraise's Card Highlights editor:

  1. Open the fundraise, go to its Opportunity Page, and open the Card Highlights editor.
  2. Write a short description in the multi-line field at the top. The editor shows how much of the length limit you've used. Leave the field empty if you don't want a description on the card.
  3. Use the toggles to choose which standard facts the card shows, such as the target amount, strategy or close date. A fact you turn off doesn't appear on the card even if the fundraise has a value for it.
  4. Save the editor. Your description and highlight choices are saved together.

Note

The card description is plain text, and only the Card Highlights field supplies it. Your landing page's description sections are never copied onto the public card, including content you've placed behind a gate on the landing page. So the card shows only what you write for it.

Add a hero image

In the Opportunities page section of Branding, you can upload a storefront hero image. When one is set, it appears as a wide band at the top of your page with your firm's name over it. Use a landscape image, because the band is cropped to fill the width. When no storefront hero image is set, the page uses a compact header with your logo and name. The empty field in settings says so, so a blank field means nothing has been uploaded yet.

Note

The storefront hero image is separate from the sign-in hero image that investors see on your login and signup pages. Your page never uses the sign-in hero in its place, so set the storefront hero if you want a hero band.

Ask visitors for their details first (optional)

By default your page is open, and visitors see your published cards right away. If you'd rather know who is browsing, a GP Admin can use the lead-gate control in the Opportunities page section of Branding to require contact details. The setting applies the next time a visitor loads the page.

  • With the gate on, visitors see a form asking for their full name and email address, and no deal details appear until they submit it.
  • Once they submit, they see your cards and stay identified for the rest of their visit.
  • Each lead becomes a contact in your CRM, tagged Inbound, with tags recording that they came from your Opportunities page and any campaign (UTM) parameters on the link they used. A visitor who's already a contact isn't duplicated.
  • Completing the form doesn't create an opportunity or an invitation. Follow up from the contact record when you're ready.

Tip

To see which channel brought a visitor in, add campaign (UTM) parameters to the page link you share in each place. They're carried through when a visitor opens a card, and they're added as tags on gated leads.

What visitors see

  • Your logo and organization name, shown once in the page header or over your hero image. They aren't repeated on each card. A card whose holding has no photo shows your logo in its place.
  • One card for each published, active fundraise. An open card ends with a call to action that leads to the fundraise's landing page. A closed card says the fundraise is closed and doesn't invite the visitor to view it.
  • Your brand color on the status indicator, the card calls to action and links. Backgrounds, card surfaces and body text stay neutral. If your primary color doesn't have enough contrast to read on the page, the page uses a neutral style instead, unless you've chosen in Branding to use the color anyway.
  • No information about the visitor. Cards never show whether someone has viewed, started or invested in a deal, or how much they committed.
  • If nothing is published yet, your branded page with a message saying there are no opportunities to show. The page doesn't return an error.

When you paste your Opportunities page link into a messaging app, chat client or social platform, the preview names your firm, not Covercy. A link to a single fundraise's landing page previews the holding's name and your firm's name, with the holding's cover image or, if it has none, your logo. If no image is available, the preview still shows the names.

Note

Previews never include target amounts, minimum investments or other figures, share class names, opportunity status, or the name or email of an invited investor. A preview can be forwarded to people you never invited, so it shows only your firm and the holding.

Check that it worked

Copy your page link from Branding and open it in a private browser window. Check that each fundraise you published appears as a card, that unpublished fundraises don't, and that selecting a card opens the right landing page. If you turned on the lead gate, submit the form with a test address and check that the contact appears in your CRM tagged Inbound. If a fundraise is missing, check that publishing is selected in its visibility panel and that the fundraise is active. If you're still stuck, contact Covercy support from within Covercy One.

Does publishing a fundraise change who can find it in my investor portal?
No. Publishing to your Opportunities page and portal visibility are independent. A fundraise can be Invited Only in the portal and still be listed publicly, and changing either setting leaves the other as it was.
Why isn't my fundraise showing on the page?
The page lists only fundraises that belong to your firm, are active, and have the publishing checkbox selected in their visibility panel. A new fundraise starts unpublished. If you've turned on the lead gate, visitors see the cards only after they submit their name and email.
If I unpublish a fundraise, do links I already sent stop working?
No. Unpublishing removes the fundraise from your Opportunities page, but landing-page links you already shared keep working. Covercy One warns you about this when you clear the checkbox.
Which landing page does a card open?
The landing page for the share class you chose when you published the fundraise. If you didn't choose one, the card opens the fundraise's first share class.
Does a lead who fills in the gate form land in my fundraising pipeline?
No. They become a contact in your CRM, tagged Inbound, but no opportunity or invitation is created. Invite them to a fundraise from your CRM when you're ready.
Can someone see an investment amount in a link preview?
No. A link preview shows only your firm's name and, for a single fundraise, the holding's name, plus an image where one is available. It never shows amounts, share classes, status or the invited investor's details.
If a chat app shows a preview of an invitation link, does that count as the investor opening it?
No. Building a preview doesn't mark an invitation as opened or record any activity. The open is recorded when the investor opens the link in a browser.
