Manage a holding's status

By the end of this guide you'll understand what each holding status means, know how to filter your holdings list by status, and be able to mark a holding as Realized once it's fully exited.

Understand the holding statuses

Open Holdings to see a Status column on each row. Covercy One works out this status automatically from the holding's fundraising and position activity, so you don't set it directly. It always reflects the holding's current data:

• Draft — the holding has no raise activity and no investor positions yet.
• Init. Fundraising — the holding has an active fundraise underway and hasn't completed one before.
• Fundraising — the holding has an active fundraise and has also completed at least one fundraise previously.
• Under Management — the holding has investor positions and no fundraise currently active, whether or not it has raised before.
• Realized — you've marked the holding as fully exited. This takes priority over every other status.

Filter the holdings list by status

The Holdings list includes a status filter. By default it shows Draft, Init. Fundraising, Fundraising, and Under Management holdings, and hides Realized holdings — a chip on the filter bar shows that Realized holdings are hidden. Select Realized in the filter to bring them back into the list alongside your active holdings. Your filter selection stays in place while you navigate the page, but it resets to the default the next time you load the list.

Mark or unmark a holding as Realized

You can mark a holding as Realized from either the holdings list or the holding's own detail page:

1. From Holdings, open the overflow menu (three dots) on the holding's row, or open the holding and use the header actions on its detail page.
2. Select Mark as Realized. The holding's badge updates to Realized immediately.
3. If your status filter hides Realized holdings, the holding disappears from the default view — select Realized in the filter to see it again.

To reverse this, open the overflow menu or header actions on a Realized holding and select Unmark as Realized. The badge immediately reverts to whatever status the holding's current fundraising and position data produces.

Verify it worked and where to get help

After marking or unmarking a holding, confirm its badge on the Holdings list or its detail page shows the status you expect. If a holding you expect to see is missing, check the status filter — it may be hiding Realized holdings by default. If a status looks wrong for a holding's current fundraising or position activity, or an action is unavailable, confirm you have access to that holding or reach out to our team for help.
