By the end of this guide you'll know how to complete the self-accreditation step that some sponsors require before you can view their full deal, so you can confirm your details, submit your accreditation status, and continue into the opportunity.
Note
You only see this step when the sponsor (GP) has chosen to require accreditation on their deal. You start from the sponsor's opportunity landing page, usually opened from an invitation link they sent you. If you expected access to a deal but cannot find the invitation, contact the sponsor who manages it.
Recognize the accreditation gate
When a sponsor requires accreditation, the protected parts of their opportunity page appear covered by an overlay instead of showing the full content. The overlay carries a Complete Accreditation action. If the deal also requires a non-disclosure agreement, the action reads Complete Accreditation & Sign NDA instead. Any sections the sponsor left open stay visible as normal.
Complete the self-accreditation wizard
- Select the Complete Accreditation action on the overlay to open the Self-Accreditation wizard.
- On the first step, enter your contact details: first name, last name, email, and phone number with country code.
- On the next step, provide your entity details — choose your entity type and, if you're investing through an entity rather than as an individual, enter the entity name and tax details.
- Answer whether you're an accredited investor. If you indicate that you are, select the accreditation type that applies to you.
- Select Submit to send your accreditation.
