By the end of this guide you'll have accepted your firm's invitation, opened the broker portal, and know where to find the funds your firm is assigned to and the investors your firm has placed.
Note
This guide is for representatives at broker-dealer (BD) and registered investment adviser (RIA) firms, and for managing broker-dealers (MBDs), that a fund manager has added to a fund's selling group. Before you start, you'll need the invitation email sent to you — either the invitation for your firm (sent to its admin contact) or an invitation from your firm's admin to join its team.
Warning
Covercy will never ask you to share your password, two-factor codes, or banking credentials by email, text, or phone. Only act on an invitation you were expecting, and if anything looks off, open Covercy directly and sign in there rather than following a link in an unexpected message.
Accept your firm's invitation
- Open the invitation email and select the link to accept it.
- Sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. If you don't have a Covercy account yet, you can create one at this step using that address.
- Complete the acceptance page. Once you're done, your access is active and your firm can start working on the funds it's assigned to.
Tip
If you're signed in with a different email address — for example a personal address or another alias — the invitation can't be accepted. Sign out, sign back in with the address the invitation was sent to, and open the link again. If the invitation has expired, ask whoever invited you to resend it.
