By the end of this guide you'll have two-factor authentication set up on your Covercy One account, so that sensitive actions are confirmed with a verification code sent to your phone.
Note
Two-factor authentication adds a second step when you perform sensitive actions, such as processing a payment. After you confirm the action, Covercy sends a verification code to your phone, and you enter that code to continue. To use it, you'll need access to the phone number on your account.
Covercy will never ask you to share your password, two-factor codes, or banking credentials by email, text, or phone. If a message asks you to do this, don't respond — open Covercy yourself and continue as usual.
Add your phone number
- Sign in to Covercy One.
- Open your account settings and go to the two-factor authentication section.
- Choose your country and enter your phone number.
- Save your changes. Covercy uses this number to send your verification codes.
Tip
Use a phone number you can reliably reach when you're working in Covercy. If you change phones or numbers, update it here so you keep receiving your codes.
Complete a verification when prompted
- Start the sensitive action you want to perform, such as processing a payment.
