By the end of this guide you'll know how to log an activity such as a meeting, call, email, or note, and how to create, assign, and track tasks so your team stays on top of follow-ups across your Covercy One CRM.
Note
You need access to the GP workspace to log activities and manage tasks. If you can't see the activities or tasks areas, ask a workspace admin to grant you access.
Log an activity
Activities capture your interactions with a contact — meetings, calls, emails, and notes. When you log an activity, Covercy One records that you logged it, so your team can see who was involved.
- Open the contact or entity you want to log the activity against.
- Add a new activity and choose its type — a meeting, call, email, or note.
- Enter the details of the activity.
- Save the activity. Covercy One automatically records you as the person who logged it.
- If you're logging an activity on behalf of a teammate, change the person it's attributed to before you save.
Tip
In the activities table, the "Logged By" column shows who logged each activity by name (or email). Activities created automatically by the platform — for example, an invitation email an investor resent themselves — show as "System" instead of a team member.
Create a task
Tasks track follow-ups, reminders, and action items. You can add tasks from a contact, an investing entity, an opportunity, or your dashboard, and they appear in the task panel for whichever record they relate to.
